Flight Risk. January 27, 2025

Flight Risk had a pretty simple premise but was still entertaining. One could quickly catch on that the pilot Mark Wahlberg played was working for the Mafia, in fact it was given away in the trailers. There was more to catch onto, such as the U.S. Marshall being associated with the Mob, but it was still entertaining. The main thing to think about is the Marshall's superiors being allied with criminals, which is something we really need to consider in Washington. I wright a lot about that in my books, and if you are interested in reading them, you can click on the link provided.  Smashwords.com

Wolf Man January 20, 2025

Horror is not my first movie genre, but I will see one if it is the only thing playing. The new take on the classic Universal monster, the Wolf Man, was an average horror movie, about a family stranded in a cabin in the woods, and one of them turns into the monster, while fighting off another. The usual stuff you expect to happen happens. It is not a bad thing if you like horror, which I always thought was OK. Den of Thieves 2: Pantera January 13, 2025

I do not remember if I saw the first Den of Thieves movie, but the sequel had slow action but was still entertaining, though I probably will not see it again. The action is light for two hours and does not pick up until near the end. I get that film makers are trying to make movies with compelling stories and not just have the story be an excuse for action, but they can have a thrilling story and make action scenes exciting. That is something I work hard on in my books, and if you are interested in reading them, and the work of many independent authors, click on the link provided.  Smashwords.com

Nosferatu January 6, 2025

Having heard Nosferatu receive critical acclaim, I saw because I saw everything else playing. The visuals were good, but other than that there was nothing that held me, and it did not pick up until the professor Willem Defoe played appeared. A lot of the imagery will disturb people, I know a lot of people old enough to be my parents who would be perturbed by it. If it was faster paced, and focused more on stopping the vampire, it probably would have worked better for me. If you are interested in reading my books, click on the link provided.  Smashwords.com
