I was never a huge fan of Bruce Springsteen but if one of his songs comes on my car radio, I will not change the channel, and that said, the new movie about him was what I expected. I had no idea he had such a hard time with his father, but I'm glad they made peace. It also showed how he got the idea to write "Born in the U.S.A." which became his breakout hit. I only remember the bullet points of the first Black Phone, which I thought was an entertaining enough horror movie, and I say the same about its sequel. It is a story about overcoming fear, and forgiveness, and being a good Samaritan.   Sorry, I didn't have time to blog last week, but I was busy with some stuff.  The Smashing Machine was a standard biopic about a wrestler, and his relationship with his girlfriend, which had some entertaining enough fight scenes, and Dwayne Johnson is always fun. Tron: Ares had some cool special effects and action sequences , but a confusing plot. The only thing interesting in it was when Jared Leto met Jeff Bridges and he could not explain why he liked Depeche Mode .  That said, if you are interested in my books and the work of many independent authors , click on the link.  Smashwords.com
