My personal review of The Primal Realm March 25, 2024

If you have not read The Penitent Warrior, The Covert Militia's First Campaign, stop reading.
In their Second Campaign, The Fourth Militia travels to a parallel world inhabited by every animal that ever existed on Earth, including ones that are extinct. That was how the Pirate Spectrum, allies to the Scorpions, smuggled dinosaur eggs to Earth to be used as bioweapons. Now that the Militia has discovered the porthole to the Primal Realm, they journey there and assist the nomadic tribes and feudal kingdoms under the oppression of the Scorpions and the Order of Neo-Nazis. At the same time, the Neo-Soviets, Red Russians, are making progress realigning the U.S.S.R. and are planning to make a pact with the Neo-Nazis that will rebuild the Berlin Wall. 
This shows unique world building and is full of breathtaking action, with relatable characters and a compelling story about life with Asperger syndrome in the late 20th century. What The Primal Realm is like. April 9, 2024

  I have already written my own personal review of my latest novel, The Primal Realm, but this is a short blog about what the parallel world the title refers to is like. It is a primitive world where every animal that ever existed on Earth thrives. The land they see is partly desert and rainforest, which is why the people who live there call it the Desert Jungle. That includes extinct ones, such as dinosaurs. There also nomadic hunter tribes, similar to the Native Americans of the Great Plains and the Southwest, and a bit of the Inca, the Maya, and the Aztecs.  They mostly travel on horseback, but often employ dinosaurs and other large animals to assists them in agriculture and war. As a means of avoiding the Covert Militia going into White Savior territory, there are also feudal kingdoms. The first one they journey to is called Eoforham and its principal city is called Edmont. How Westerns influenced me. August 13, 2024

 Westerns are my dad's favorite kind of movie, and thus I grew up watching a lot of them. They had more of a grip on my brother, because when we were kids, he always wanted to play adventure games that took place in the western United States between the years 1865 to 1895. Though I liked Westerns, I more often wanted to play games that took place in the present, so I could use vehicles, and he we always argued about it. I tried compromising but he never agreed about anything. I already wrote a little about it, and though that also gave me inspiration for books, I will talk about how the Western genre inspired me.  Westerns are a good genre for visual storytelling and for contrasting characters, and for making the setting be practically a character. They can help you get to know the characters as the story progresses, and have characters discover humanity as they go. A lot of Westerns have music that befits what is happening and songs that often contrast or match the situation....
