Mission: Impossible: Final Reckoning May 27, 2025

I always have fun whenever I go see one of the Mission: Impossible movies, and if I'm staying in a hotel and one of them is on TV, I'll watch it, and I enjoyed Final Reckoning. I never watched the original TV series, but I have a feeling now that Tom Cruise is done with the series, they will make another series, starring the guy who was revealed to be the traitor in the first movie's son, who was the protagonist of the original series. My cousin asked if she should watch the others before seeing the last one, and I said it would probably not be necessary. I can't say which one of them is my favorite, but like I said, I have a good time whenever I see them. The only issue is, though Cruise is not a terrible actor and has been in good movies, there is something about him that always creeped me out, and I will stop there.  That said, if you are interested in a series of books based on a team much like the one in the Mission: Impossible series, you can click on the link to...

Aragorn as President May 19, 2025

Near the end of May, I always watch Lord of the Rings, in honor of the Tennessee Renaissance Festival, and after two months watching movies associated with summer and beaches, I go back to watching it each month in August, close to my birthday. I will say nothing about the current presidential administration but will provide advice about the next election. In 2028, both the Democrats and the Republicans need to nominate candidates who lead like Aragorn. I am not saying that because he is my favorite character in my favorite book and movie, and my favorite fictional character period, but because out of all leaders, he earned his authority. What I mean by that is quite simple, he shows authority without cruelty, he supports and encourages people, and despite his power and birthright, he displays humility.  I write about many characters...

Thunderbolts* May 5, 2025

I had a feeling that eventually the Marvel Cinematic Universe would get back on track and with Thunderbolts*, I'd say they are. It had fun action scenes, and the humor was back, with well acting. There was a lot of political commentary which is relevant now, but I will not get into my stance on politics. The only thing that annoyed me a little was some of the toilet humor, which was thankfully kept to a minimum. To me, it's always fun just to go to movies, which is why I had a feeling that things would get back together with the Marvel Universe. Some say it is the best movie in that universe since Avengers: Endgame, I say since Black Widow. I look forward to seeing how they connect with the upcoming Fantastic Four: First Steps, and the next Avengers movies.
