Avatar: Fire and Ash December 22, 2025
When the first Avatar movie came out in 2009, I could tell from the trailer where the story was going to go, and it was the same with the two that followed. Like the first movie and Way of Water, Ash and Fire had very cool visuals and action scenes, which always kept the main characters in view, and then they talk. There were no surprises in it, though it was fun to see a film like that in the theater. It is clear a lot of people like those movies and let the generic stories slide, but I have a feeling that movies that tell stories that resonate with people and have more charismatic characters are slowly making a comeback, and I look forward to them. There are a lot of controversies among conservatives about modern movies, but the way things are going I believe the magic about them will return, and they will look and feel like them again. All we need is to find equilibrium between being liberal and conservative.
