 I never heard of the Blue Beetle comics. I have always had fun seeing superhero movies in the theater, however, and it was fun to see. The actor playing the title character gave a good performance, George Lopez was funny, and Susan Sarandon played a good villain. The part when the alien technology chose the protagonist as its host, was funny, as most scenes like that are. The action was creative like most movies like that. The thing I appreciate most though is how one of the villains was somebody who Sarandon told what to think and do after losing his family, which is something I intend to include in my books, but first you will have to read them. Smashwords.com

 Practically everything on YouTube is about the disdain the new live-action Snow White movie has, the same way the general public is getting tired of Disney's live action remakes. It is either the A.I. and C.G. on the Dwarves, and what Peter Dinklage said about the Dwarves in the original being incorrect. If not that, it is Rachel Zegler insulting the original, saying it is about a prince stalking a princess, and not understanding the original was about dismissing reality for hope, because it was made during the Great Depression, and it was what people needed to escape the turmoil they were in.  I think the main reason for the backlash it instantly received was the way Disney is trying too hard to over correct what did not age well in their past movies. I think Zegler meant they were trying to update the prince and princess's relationship in the original, and it did not work with how she phrased it.  Flight Risk had a pretty simple premise but was still entertaining. One could quickly catch on that the pilot Mark Wahlberg played was working for the Mafia, in fact it was given away in the trailers. There was more to catch onto, such as the U.S. Marshall being associated with the Mob, but it was still entertaining. The main thing to think about is the Marshall's superiors being allied with criminals, which is something we really need to consider in Washington. How Westerns influenced me. August 13, 2024

 Westerns are my dad's favorite kind of movie, and thus I grew up watching a lot of them. They had more of a grip on my brother, because when we were kids, he always wanted to play adventure games that took place in the western United States between the years 1865 to 1895. Though I liked Westerns, I more often wanted to play games that took place in the present, so I could use vehicles, and he we always argued about it. I tried compromising but he never agreed about anything. I already wrote a little about it, and though that also gave me inspiration for books, I will talk about how the Western genre inspired me.  Westerns are a good genre for visual storytelling and for contrasting characters, and for making the setting be practically a character. They can help you get to know the characters as the story progresses, and have characters discover humanity as they go. A lot of Westerns have music that befits what is happening and songs that often contrast or match the situation....
